Last news update before Christmas! And with that comes one last plea for those of you who can to donate to Child's Play! A few stories after the jump. It's mostly quiet as we head into the Holiday Week, but come January, it all picks back up! Have a great week, everyone!

This is awful. I have my hopes about this game, but some of the music is pretty terrible. The one above is apparently the music for a chocobo mid-boss/hunt thing. The first below is the new Lake Bresha Theme and is 90s terri-bad. The second below is one of the good ones, proving it's not all ear-rapingly awful, just mostly.

Hmmm...could be interesting
Yep...kinda. As seen in the video linked in the title, someone has a mod that allows people to play Skyrim
together. It's still super early, and requires players to re-write
config files (do so at your own risk). The video in the link shows
it off. It's pretty funny: no animations and eveyone appears in
their underware. Yep, this is why I play Online games...lots of
half-naked folk running/jumping about. (via Kotaku)

Well,
one Star Wars era ended on 15 December and another begins 20
December. The successful MMO Star
Wars: Galaxies
finally shut down after 8 years of Original Trilogy awesomeness.
It's replacement (though Lucas Arts and EA aren't calling it that)
starts up it's own run next week when Star
Wars: The Old Republic
launches. The new MMO is set hundreds of years before the original,
so expect plenty of new adventures. Cheers, Galaxies.

Skyrim Gets Much Needed Cheese Shout
Yep, you read that right. A shout that brings you too many cheese wheels to be allowed. Though, I would argue that one cannot ever have enough cheese wheels. I think this would be an amazing way to take out a dragon. Don't you? The Cheese Shout video is in the link, the other one is just fun with cheese summons. (via Game Informer)
Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition = WTF?
When the folks behind Pokemon announced that there would be a new game coming soon, most sane folks assumed Pokemon: Grey (or whatever you'd call the special edition of White and Black). But, we'd all be totally wrong. Wronger than anyone has been before, in fact! What we get instead is Pokemon mashed up with insanely deep/realistic strategy-sim Nobunaga's Ambition. While this getting released in the United States is just about absolute zero, it is for the region-free DS. Maybe worth an import? Maybe... (via Joystiq)
